Oh no! What sad news. Sad

He was a dear friend, an inspiration and my mentor. In many ways he was the most influential person in my life. I feel like I've been hit by a truck. I will write something more, but now I have to prepare for the Twyndyllyngs concert on Chez Mosc tonight.

Rest in peace, Stan. Say hi to the cosmic gizmo maker for me. You will be sorely missed.

Sad news - at least his name will live on in every Lunetta build.

It is amazing to think about how much creative influence someone whom you have never met has had over you.

RIP

I reckon Bowie and Emerson needed him for heaven's rapidly expanding house band...

Bowie, Emerson, Lunetta, and Lemmy... I'd love to hear the music they'd make.

I wouldn't have gotten anywhere in electronics had I not discovered this forum, and ultimately because of the man's inspiring ideas.

I never knew Stang aside from his creations, his website, and a chance chatroom meeting. I tried to hero-worship him in chat and he would have none of it. Modesty and the wisdom to know that he was no better than anyone else and that goes for all of us, I suppose.

I tell people all I really want is to hear them say "Thanks Les", so with that in my mind and a tear in my eye...

Thanks Stang
