Nord G2 editor for M1 apple's |

Just tested if this (http://www.bverhue.nl/g2dev/?page_id=17) would work on my new MacBookPro 14" M1.
And it works!!!
With my G2 connected with USB. I can edit patches etc…
Propably with Rosetta, which i had installed allready. So far everything works. Just some minor glitches and accasionaly a crash. _________________ if you don't know where you're going, you will allways arrive |

I had it running, just after i migrated form my Intel mac to my M1 mac. But after some updates (brew i guess) needed for work, it didn't work anymore
So back to using an old laptop for my G2. _________________ if you don't know where you're going, you will allways arrive |

Hi,
is there realy no solution for the m1,m2,m3 mac users? i ve an old laptop to do the g2 edits..but that is just too much bagage and table spapce in the studio that requires.. is it really not possible for any g2 user to hack that usb driver?
Actualy i started to use my nord modulr G1 more, since its midi based editor works flawlessly on the m1,m2,m3 platforms. |

I’ve had the same issue, and so far my solution has been to run my old Mac Mini (still on Mojave I think) in remote mode on my new M2 Mac Mini. The old mini running the editor runs headless, and I just use it as a file server and Nord editor.
I’m wondering if this would work for you and your laptop, and allow you to put the laptop away while it’s still running. _________________ Studio:

A quick question on this since i tried the same thing with headless remote. Max macOS on mine is High Sierra so there's a difference.
All works fine but one thing. Knobs can only be controlled in direct mode. If I choose vertical or horizontal it won't work. Knob doesn't move.
Do you get this?
Interestingly, if I try the same on an even older headless Mac Mini runnging Snow Leopard all works! (that one is less pratical though for other reasons) So it seems to be intermediate OS versions or some setting I've missed on the remote Mac that causes this. |
