Nord Modular G2 Engine Rack Mount Synth

If you're familiar with the Nord Modular G2 virtual synth, you know just how powerful this MIDI controlled rack mount synth is. If you aren't, I'll just say that the G2 is a virtual modular synth - that is, using the available PC/Mac editor, you can create just about any kind of synth you want. Sounds can be recalled from any MIDI keyboard that transmits program changes. In the editor, your controller knobs and switches can be mapped to various parameters. It would take me a long time to describe all that the G2 can do, so I'll leave it to you investigate the details. There is plenty of information online.

This unit is in excellent shape. There are no scratches, stains, bent rack ears, etc. It features the DSP upgrade board, doubling the processing power of the basic unit. It also has the USB fix that gives protection when plugging and unplugging from a computer.

It's a legacy synth, so while editor software can still be downloaded from the Nord website, it will not run on newer computers. For Macs, the latest OS it will work with is OS10.6. I tested it with a MacBook running 10.5.8. I haven't tested it on a PC, but I think it will run on WIndows Vista and XP. I think there are alternate editors available, like maybe on the Nord forum.

A power cord and USB cable are included.
