Hey all,

First post for help here! Hopefully I can find an expert of sorts.

I’m looking for some good tips on the Korg SQ-10 I’ve just purchased recently.

Been having some sync issues. I know it’s S-trig instead of V-trig. I am trying to slave it to a Behringer RD-8.
I have had it going with my SQ-1. It’s very touchy with CV duty even though I’m triggering using the gate out.

I’m basically looking to hear about other people’s experiences and problem solving techniques.

Also getting it to reset back to step 1. I’ve read that the start/stop input on the sq-10 needs a TRS cable to work correctly.. still yet to test that

You could try using MIDI instead. You will need a 3.5mm to 5 pin DIN adapter, and you would have to use the SQ-1 as the master clock, but that might solve the start/stop issue too.

Yeah I have considered that but I would prefer it the other way simply because I can switch to DAW as the master for when I want to record in. I suppose the Daw can become the slave.... Something to consider I guess.

Thanks for sharing and contributing, much appreciated

You can use the DAW as a master with MIDI. You just need a MIDI interface.
