That would be small swedish trolls?
One of the few things that can actually make a noise is the transformer. It is quite normal and it could at times be described as a rumbling. Hey, can you record this sound? _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Most Clavia gear seems to do this (my G2 engines and both my NM Classics), I think it to be due to the steel case, the trnsformer being mounted on a PCB and the two interacting magnetically. _________________ Jan

Basically a transformer is vibrating and there is a fluctuating magnetic field around it. It is quite normal to hear both mechanically transferred noise and at times also electromagnetically induced nose. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

The usual description should go more like a humming rather than a rumbling. Bad transformers may at times actually make a rattling noise. I guess you shouldn´t worry. Transformers are supposed to make some noise. THis is quite normal. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

actually they shouldnt...its rather a sign that the inbuild transformers are too tight dimensioned... If magnetic flux is the reason a round coil transformator would do the job..but they are much more expensiv than the standard modell used by clavia.
If a very sensetiv person really suffers from that noise it would be possible to get rid of it...
But in reality..this noise is much lower than the noise my computer makes... |
