| It is cool, but make sure you check the supported applications list - anything that isn't gold doesn't work 100% yet. And it's interesting that a majority of the supported applications actually have mac versions already anyway... |

Yeah, but for stuff like this the aplication list doesn't actually have to refer to *usefull* stuff. It's also a indication of how far the compatibilty goes.
I remember something similar for OS/2 where people actually made sure the Windows clock aplet worked (at that time there were hundreds of native applets doing the same because everybody was making clocks for experience in programing)

AutoCAD? Autocad is currently PC only, yet it's in the list of tested apps.
I will try SolidWorks too (as soon as my MacIntel arrives). SolidWorks on a Mac will be pure heaven

VectorWorks is a fine Mac/PC tool for CAD, in many ways excelling in areas that leave AutoCAD cold. In fact, I see little reason to use AutoCAD for anything. Provocative, no?

hmm that's all very well (and I also agree with you- in fact, USG's NX (unigraphics) ALSO runs in OSX!)
However, my dumb university won't accept anything else apart from AutoCAD, Solidworks, Autodesk Architectual Desktop and 3D StudioMAX.
It's a Microsoft conspiracy I tell you!

This is all a way of helping to keep Mac users in contact with the real world.
