Return of the Red |
 |
|
I have been gone a bit yet.
I met up with a person from this community, and we have been...making neat things *grin*.
I have also learned alot about what to do and what NOT to do, regarding self-promotion technques. Cafe Press was a bad idea to go back to.
Now, and from here on out, my site has all my music FREE. I have forums now. I have almost 130 tracks of mine finally online for download (the server is mad fast).
Also, I have not forgotten about the tshirts, and in fact, have ordered a stock to send in you guys...
I'm still here!

Glad you're back.
Please let me know what was the problem with Cafe Press. I was looking at it for electro-music.com, but two things:
Too expensive
Only white shirts.
I think electro-music.com shirts should be black.
CD sales aren't paying the bills, unfortunately. Maybe clothes and mugs would be good. |

A wise person once pointed out to me that it is somewhat sad that today's musicians have to sell t-shirts and etc. to actually make money on tour, as opposed to being able to thrive strictly off their music. |

| The white t-shirts turned me off to cafepress too. They just don't cut it in the music world! I scoped around on the net a bit and found a place that has nice colors and lets you submit your artwork on-line. The web site was very slow, so I'll have to try it again later. But it's fairly expensive to do anything good looking, like close to $20 each for small quantities. I don't see how bands can make any money by selling t-shirts. I doubt they could be priced more than $20. Maybe you have some margin if you can make hundreds of them. |

yeah i removed my cafepress cd's...I now give my stuff away. i make my money in my local scene, and only hobby level at that. I just love making the music :p
I am having your shirts made in black MOSC and Mira Phan from here is doing the graphical designs. I should have 60 or so shirts ready to send to you by the end of the month, if at all humanly possible. The shirts on black long sleeve and short sleeve. As far as mugs etc, I can do those in house if you want, as I have a mug printer |

A mug printer? I would love a mug with the thug pic of Mosc on it. What a treat that would be.

The shirts sound great. I still don't believe it; thanks.
Any chance to see the artwork?
Can't hear your new tunes because my computer is in pieces on the floor. I'm in the process of fixing an intermittent hanging problem. Seems to be the little fan on the CPU heat sink. It was clogged with dust. |

The art is being made by Mira Phan, but the problem is, i have no idea what her username is on here, because we talk on msn only these days. I have posted the pic below, if it works correctly...

the first thing I noticed is that the URL is wrong: there is no "www"
but the picture is very nice _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

Here's a reduced image size, with the background changed to black.
Any change of using the electro-music.com blue in this design? The color is:

The blue would be too dark to use on a black background.
How about a lighter blue with a neon glow? |

Not to offend anyone.. but personally I am not completely convinced about the design. I reminds me of some T-shirts a local drum and bass club issued a year ago or so. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"
