get preset back

I wrote over a sound I'd like back. The manual says I can go to www.clavia.se and get it... I don't see how.

Support - downloads - Nord Lead 2x offers one non-PDF choice -- "Nord Lead 2 Factory Preset"

It downloads and unzips to 1 file -- "internal.mid"

I put this into NordGen and Bank 1 seems to show 0-40. And that's it. I can scroll bank 2-5 but not change patches.

What am I missing about getting at the rest of the presets?

There are several methods to do this:

1 Go to Performance mode and scroll to the latest bank (I'm not with my synth now, but in the Manual you can look up this info) and in each Performance there are 4 Programs. In the first Performance in Slot A there is Program 1, in Slot B Program 2 and-so-on. Program 5 is in Slot A of the second Performance, so up to Program 40...

Open it in NordGen (drag&drop-after downloading) en send it to the NL.

Thank you for the link! I likely failed to mention I have a Lead 2x. I clicked around the directories and found these banks and all is well.

Working in the synth itself is rather easy. Just search for the Program in Performance Mode, press [Store], leave the Performance Mode to Program Mode, scroll to the memory location desired and press [Store] again.

Working from the user site is more complicated. A tool to send the SysEx top the synth is needed. Down load the file to the computer, send it to the synth using the tool, press [Store], scroll to the memory location desired and press [Store] again.
