Calendar Feature Added! |
 |
|
We are very happy to add a calendar feature to electro-music.com. A mini calendar appears on the upper right corner of the "front" page and the "articles" page. A full-screen calendar is accessible from the forum via a new "calendar" menu near the top of every forum page.
The calendar is fully integrated into the forum. To enter an event into the calendar, just post a topic on one of the forums that supports calendar events (most forums are so configured). The "Post a new topic" (text entry) window provides the tools to enter a date, a series of dates, or even repeating dates. Of course, you must be a registered forum member to enter events, but membership is free.
Now there is even more reason to post upcoming events. Let's start putting them up so more people will know what's happening and attend more the concerts and events. _________________ --Howard

Is there a way to directly add events to the calendar, or do you have to enter them manually after an article/announcement has been posted? |

The post edit screen will have appropriate fields for specifying the date(s). It is a one-step process, although you can always go back and edit your messages after they are submitted (this is one feature of forums that beats email lists, IMHO).
If you want to retroactively make a posted topic into a calendar item, simply edit the post (using the edit button on the upper right-hand border of the window when you veiw the message). _________________ --Howard
