Hey all -

I'm looking for software that can test the purity of a sinewave using a soundcard. I realize how silly that might sound, but I need something that can give figures for total harmonic distortion and deviation from a true sine wave. Preferably free.

Something that works like this: You generate a sinewave of say 1000 Hz with some electronic device (like a sine oscillator). You plug that into the line-in input of the soundcard and tell the software it's going to get a 1000 Hz sine wave sample. The analyzer runs and then gives you information about the actual waveform you put in.

I've got RMAA, but that won't do what I want. It will give me a spectrum plot of a wav file (which can be a sample of a sine), but it won't say anything about purity in terms of numbers like THD.

Any help out there?
