Stuck Pattern LED 14

My KLEE is finished and mostly working. I have chased out a few wiring faults but one has me stumped. Confused

Pattern LED 14 lights up when I first press manual load whether the pattern switch is on or not. I can sometimes make it go off by cycling the switch and pressing manual load. Strangely, turning Stage 15 & 16 on then off seems to help. Mostly though LED 14 just stays on. Stage 3 LED sometimes does the same thing but nowhere near as often.
I suspect I have faulty 4034s. Does this sound right?
For the record, they are Motorola chips from Futurlec.

I checked Pin 21 and discovered that it stayed high even with the switch turned off. So obviously the switch is faulty after all (I thought I had tested it properly, but apparently not). The switch has now been replaced and all is good.

Well, cool beans! Glad to see you don't have to get another CD4034. Some switches are kind of touchy about getting soldered. I remember one time soldering a switch, and the potting in the thing turned into soup and the actual lugs would move around. Needless to say, that switch was toast before it ever had a chance to do much.

How is bit 3 treating you?

Bit 3 is behaving itself. No further trouble since I reterminated the wires.

I now have a calibrated and fully working KLEE. Now I am enjoying coming to grips with its many features!
