What can you tell us about how the modules get connected together to create a patch? I don't see any in or out "jacks" or patch cords like on the G2. _________________ Dave Peck
Dave, Reaktor has two views of an instrument: the "panel" and the "structure". The G2 shows everything on one screen; the Reaktor "structure" corresponds to the G2's patch cords.
I've attached screen shots of the panel and structure views of an instrument built with the modules. You can see it's still not as friendly as a G2. But it's as close as I've been able to come using Reaktor.

This is not included in the upload, which makes assembling a new ens hard to do:
* Ampere Modules – A folder that includes all of the modules as separate macro files, grouped by type. Copy this folder into the default Macro path, and it will appear in Reaktor’s macro browser.

The folder with the separate "mdl" files are not in zip file because the UL refuses to transmit them to people. Only "ens" files get transmitted. I'm searching for work-arounds on the NI forum.
chet. i'm new to reaktor. i don't see any way to connect an external input to the system? Or am i missing something?
I didn't make an external input module in time for the upload. I've made one now, which will be included in the next update in a day or so (along with a 914 emulation, a 16-voice chorus, and an additional kind of oscillator).
that looks pretty good chat, but putting modules like that(even without connecting them) with the G2 would cause an overload too.
but i agree, i love reaktor!!
i'm not using it life though.
buzzr, attached are the Ampere modules arranged in a directory tree.
Just put the "Ampere Modules" folder inside the "Macros" folder in under your "User Content" folder indicated in your Preferences. They'll then show up in your macro browser. This is how they're supposed to be used, but the NI user library won't let me do it.
Ampere Modules.zip
Description:
A zip file that contains all the Ampere modules arranged in directories. Meant to be pointed to by the Reaktor macro browser.

I've noticed that Reaktor cannot handle feedback. It easily overloads the audio processor. The G2 does not have this problem at all.
do you mean feedback from high resonance filter settings? i noticed this as well, and realized that you need to make adjustments to the output levels of the Voice Combiner and Stereo Output modules. lower the VC level and up the Output volume as needed. _________________ SoundCloud

I have found my personal software "replacement" for the G2.
More than a passing resemblance to a VCS3 then?
I read here, that some dude has ported Supercollider to the iPhone!

Enjoyed the track- but it could have done more. _________________ ACHTUNG!

Max for Live public beta has just come out.
Maybe a combination of Live and Max could be the answer?
Max For Live looks interesting. From what I gather of the somewhat confusing pricing scheme, existing Live owners who do not own Max or Max/MSP will get a better deal than existing Max or Max/MSP owners who do not have Live. If you own Live, Max For Live is a mere $99. If you own Max/MSP but not Live, you must pay for Live and then pay for Max For Live.
I could have sworn I have one of those "lite" versions of Live lying around somewhere. That might be the most cost effective way for me to get into Live. _________________ Current and recent work on Soundcloud

I am not quite sure how to make that comparison.
Max for Live lets you write Max patches that run inside Live, period. If you want to use Max outside of Live, I believe you have to pay for Max independently from Max for Live.

I don't think that's how it is. If you own Live and Max, Max4Live is $99/€79, if you own just Live it's EUR 249/USD 299, if you own just Max it's EUR 349/USD 449.
the G2 is a great all in one tool. it is fun for me to create full tracks with the G2. same with the XILS 3 synth. just at the end I am using some EQ and compressor.
same now with MAX for LIVE: I am using it for live performances and realtime processing and to build my own synths. the final tracks I am mastering in LOGIC.
