hey there !

i guess this post is mainly adressed to the german speaking syntheists and diyers because the topic refers to a book called (as already mentioned) "Hobby Musikelektronik"(roughly "music electronics as a hobby") written/published by Eugen Gehrer in 1981.

my question is: did anybody of you read/has heard about that book? i stumbled across it twice in my life so it seems not to be that rare (at least in germany). it's a basic instruction on the principles of analog electronics in music (in the beginning of the 80's) and consists of several schematics, mainly intended to build up an analog synthesizer.

the whole concept of that book seems to be quite nice but it has two (severe) mistakes which makes it a bit problematic for me to really work with it:
the schematics are not well labeled, neither the related texts explain everything.

beacuse the circuits basically seem to be relatively easy to build i'd really like to do so but am a bit bothered about the potential (non-)functionality of the designs. has anybody of you any experiences with those schematics? can anybody, for example, tell what trigger ic's to use for the VCO described in the book?

thanks !
