NEW CDS RELEASING:
blow up hollywood are set to release two new cds this year. The first, a live recording of the band from the WXPN radio studios in Philadelphia. The band descended on the studios there on a cold night in November of 2004 and proceeded to improvise for an hour. With instruments in hand and complete creative freedom, anything that was in the studio quickly became an instrument of choice, including a wine bottle and its' cork. The disc is entitled "Stars End" and it will be available soon at the Blowuphollywood.com website.
The second cd is a studio album by the full band called "The Diaries of Private Henry Hill". One of the band members of Blow Up Hollywood absconded a personal journal of a [deceased] soldier from the Iraq War. All of the songs are based on the journal entries and are bone-chilling.
The Henry Hill album will be available by the end of this summer. Check the Blowuphollywood.com website for forthcoming details.

NEW FILM AND TV PLACEMENTS:
The song "Just Before Dawn" will act as the music bed for a piece about Cambodian orphans on the ABC news program 20/20 airing on March 18th
The song "Fake" will make it's appearance in the film Dee Dee Rutherford, directed by Mike Meiners, set to release this fall. The band recorded a special acoustic version of the song just for the film. Currently, we have no plans to release it.
Two tracks from the first album will find their way into the film "Julian and Chalice", directed by William Smith, already set for film fests in New York. Watch for it.
