Ok so I have sooo many chips it's not even funny. I'm just lost. I want to make 3 panels 28cm x 59 cm. I have an old chest of drawers that I have modified to take the 3 panels. It not be strictly lunetta, but mostly.

Use a 4070 instead of the 4011 for the ringmod: less wiring, more XORs

Use another of your 4046s as a VCO

you've got a few shift registers in there, could do something interesting with those. A delay, pseudo-random bits, or just wire straight to the panel.

I envy you your large selection of chips: where did you find them?

I agree, shift registers are splendid. You can hook up the output of the last bit back to the input via a gate and you make a ring counter. Lot's of fun and musical. String several shift register and make a long one.

Do you have any links to schematics?

I have all these chips because I got them from the "cheap crap" bin, at my local electronics store. They are all in those long anti static sticks. 1€ a stick, how could one say no. Oh yeah there's plenty of LM324's in there aswell.

definitely a 4046 VCO. I would agree on the 4070 for the ringmod, but with 4x 4070 and 7x 4011 (+ 16X MC14011BCP)
it might make more sense to use the 4011 afterall. I see you have a 4089, that's a nice chip for a pattern/rhythm generator.

datasheets are more useful then schematics with lunetta's Wink

(but you might find something useful here and here)
