Clavia Nord Modular G2 Engine Problems... |
 |
|
So, after sometime without using it, I wanted to play a bit with my G2 Engine today, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working...
When it powers on, it just lights up the power light (I have the impression it always light up the other two lights right when powering up, but that's not happening now), and doesn't appear to detect any MIDI or be able to connect with the editor...
Did anyone have this problem with their G2 Engine that can point me to what might be happening with it?
Thanks in advance, best regards, Paulo |

Sorry, can't help really .. but just to confirm : midi and usb lights should go on briefly just after power up.
So it seems like no program is running? _________________ Jan

I guess not...
At least I tried to send MIDI using all the available channels, and nothing happened... :S
The light never turned on for MIDI and I couldn't ear anything either...
I am hopefully that might indicate it is a power supply issue, at least I never heard about a problem like this with the G2s...
If it was a problem with some chip in the main board, would it make sense that no light other light than the power light would show? |

I dont know if the power LED is under processor control or not .. when it is from the PSU directly it would just indicate that there is power, but when the CPU has to set it on that thing would at least be partially working.
Hmm .. someone posted a service manual here .. ah @ https://electro-music.com/forum/post-451234.html#451234 - maybe that helps. _________________ Jan

Does the unit warm up after a while? If it is still cold after 10 minutes then it is probably the power board.
If you do get it fixed can you report back here with what was done? |
