Hi all!

Can someone explain to me s-triggers and or tips for using the analogue input s-trigger on the S1? I understand the theory of gates and triggers but this s-trigger business has me a little dumbfounded. I guess early Moogs for example used s-triggers?

Same function as a gate, different electrically. I think the Korg MS series also used S-Trigger but with a conventional 6mm socket. If the S1 has both gate and s-trigger it would just be for compatability with other gear.

Much thanks guys! Those links are helpful too. The S1 has both Gate, Trigger, and S-Trigger analogue inputs on the back of the unit.
