Subject description: ...the differences in Sound ???

Hi,

the technical differences of the two units are well known (especially the DACs), but is there anybody who had the chance to compare the both units direktly in sound ?

As you can read on the Clavia site the sound charakteristik is the same, I wanted to know if there is a "big" or more "less" difference in Sound by comparing the 2/2x with your ears ?

Just want to collect some individual impressions on this topic...

Thanks

There are three different types of NordLeads: NordLead/NordRack, NordLead2/NordRack2 and NordLead2X/NordRack2X.

All three sound a little bit different, although it depends on the Program used.

Using bass lines, TB303 like, the NordLead(1) sounds a little bit more punchy and raw compared with the two others; when playing broad and soft pads, the NordLead2X sound a little bit more brilliant, special when using the Unison.

Wout

...ok, so I think there is no basic reason to exchange a Nord Rack 2 to a Nord Rack 2x...

...perhaps its more usefull, to get an additional NR3 in the future... Wink
