I spent some time this weekend testing whether it would be feasible to update built-in graphic interfaces (class browser, synthdesclib browser, object inspectors, crucial-library guis, and guis in dewdrop_lib) to work seamlessly with SwingOSC for Linux and Windows compatibility. I'm rather excited by the preliminary results so I thought I would post them here.

My performance gui in Cocoa:

In SwingOSC (note, I only had to change the constructors - instead of SCWindow(...) use GUI.window.new(...) - the code structure is the same):

A PatchGui in SwingOSC:

Now, don't get too excited... I still have a lot of regression testing to do before I can commit some rather extensive changes. So this is not available yet.

Also it requires TCP communication with the SwingOSC server, which is Evil or Very Mad unsupported in Windows as yet... meaning that Windows users will still have to wait a bit longer. Sorry about that, it's out of my hands.

When it's ready, I think this will go a long way toward closing the functionality gap between OSX and Linux, and eventually Windows.

These changes have been checked in... new updates from the subversion repository should allow crucial library usage with SwingOSC.

My library is updated also to support SwingOSC, at the usual location.
