Up/Down slew limiter Subject description: cheap slew circuit with individual up/down rate controls -2 versions, optimised for control or audio |
 |
|
Here's another cheap building block -a glide circuit with individual rate control for rising and falling.
Since it is based on feedback, the slopes are not linear.
Two versions, optimised for control and audio rates respectively.
The audio rate one is quite interesting for waveshaping applications. It's like having a filter which can treat rising and falling waveform flanks independently. Can be used to morph square waves into sawtooths, or sawtooths into triangles. Produces interesting harmonics on filter resonance peaks too, as it warps the sinusoids. Gotta explore this...
0,5 cycles/3,9 memory for the control rate version; 2,2 cylces for the one running at audio rate.
have fun

That's a nice one, cheap !
The audio rate version can do some nice tone control like things. _________________ Jan

With the G2 demo software you can not only see the patches but hear them too.
You can download from http://www.clavia.se/products/nord%20modular%20G2/default.asp .
If that doesn't work for you please say so, I'll make some screen dumps then. _________________ Jan

Thanks. I'm confused now... is this a software patch or an electronic circuit?
(excuse my ignorance!) |

very interesting, thank you.
I have experience with analog, tape splicing (computer edit now =:) and then csound or Max/MSP, but this looks good!
I'll investigate further, thanks again |
