The last CD I recorded had lots of audio soundscapes, scratching, compressed horns, thunder storms, etc. I played a gig this weekend and hired 2 keyboard players to reproduce my sonic soundscapes. The results were less then stellar. They could not reproduce these sounds. Is there a way that I could load these audio loops into a device(not a computer) and trigger the loops based on what I am playing on the guitar? I would also like some control over the audio loops, fade in/out, panning, etc.
Thanks.

What's wrong with using a computer?

If you really don't want to use a PC, you could always go old school and have walkmans connected to a volume pedal, then to the mixer. So you can fade in and out your different sound scapes, hands free.

I want the setup to be as mobile as possible and fast to setup.
I found a device I can use to send midi to a midi sound generator. Axon AX-50.
But now I am looking for a device that can be controlled using midi and can utilize imported wav files.
