I have a problem
I have created some great sounds on my A6 with the temp/auto tune turned off but this means that some sounds get out tune quite often, but when i try and auto tune the sound isnt anywhere near the same |

i normally leave temp tune on ( as it is a function within the chip, not using any extra processorpower and not giving bad side effects like "slowing-up" the synth when playing fast, or having a big effect on the sound whatsoever, just compensating for temperatureswapping)
however background tuning is left off as it makes the tone more like that of a VA + has the above written side effects.
on the whole this way some effect will be noticed however not much and it makes the a6 more playable. in studio i sometimes allow myself to tune more often and leave both off.
as said the effect shouldn't be too great, on the other hand good ears will hear some difference which can't be avoided.
just send the patches over; we'll keep in mind that they can sound even better ! |

I generally don't have any problems with A6 tuning after the synth warms up. In odd temperature circumstances it may go out of tune; live I don't find it too difficult to switch on background tuning when needed. Sounds better without it on though. (Pity the tune routine takes so long, I can only activate it during songs where the A6 isn't used! Thankfully the MIDI is active during tuning. )
Temp tuning is a much less intrusive form of autotune; you may want to try that if the tuning is not very stable. |

just tuning the oscillators is much faster then autotune ( just press oscfreq on tuning page) also acceptable in live situations. |

Heh. You learn something new every day (especially with this synth!) |
