Performance mode - tweaking of parameters with sequencer Subject description: Is it possible to tweak each slot's parameter in Performance mode? |

Hi everyone.
I've decided to make a more advanced use of my Nord Lead 2X and decided to use it with my MPC1000.
That way I can sequence various loops simultaneously, using the 4 outputs and 4 different midi channels.
That means I need to set the right programs for each slot before each song.
This is why I was thinking of using the performance mode, which basically allows you to select 4 programs at the same time.
The only thing is: whenever I select a performance, nothing is tweakable, which sucks big time. Maybe I'm missing something. The manual doesn't mention this possible limitation.
Is it possible to tweak each slot's parameter in Performance mode?
Thanks |

My guess would be yes, on the slot's individual MIDI channels ... but there seem to be some issues with the global MIDI channel in the Leads ... I'm no expert, heck I don't even ever had a Lead (but I do have some clavia modulars) ... be sure to set the global channel different from the slot channels.
And of course _________________ Jan
also .. could someone please turn down the thermostat a bit.

Thanks for your reply
Global channel is set to 0 and slot channels are set to 3,4,7 and 6 so it's not that. |

Anyway, the strange thing is... After 13 years since release troubles occur setting the Midi on the NordLead. Indeed, it's confusing.
First of all, you don't have to use a Performance. Layers are also possible.
You've read [Manual Page 66 to Page 72] already?
Don't forget [Manual Page 74 to Page 78]
Maybe it's time to write an article about the issue...

I can't believe that worked.
I should have thought of changing the global channel.
Just the fact that it was a different channel than the 4 slots wasn't enough.
Now this is perfect for live tweaking and performance
Thanks a million |
