i work in a music store, we have had all kinds of nords come in and out, i notice the recent nord lead 2x sounds alot better (louder and rounder almost like some natural compression) than previous lead 2x we have had in the last year. anyone else notice any difference?
for what its worth i always test with the same headphones.

I assume your shop sold the previous NL2X already? So comparing is rather difficult?

Could be the first NL2X was a bad sounding one Wink

I notice the differences between the NordLead, NordLead2 and NordLead2X. Anyway, one makes his/her choice by listening what synth sounds the best in her/his ears.

Kassen mentioned something in the G2 OS Update thread about Clavia having 'newer DACs' and using them in the Wave, for example. I think that's what he was talking about. Maybe they've just changed the specifications without notice.

lobit , could you record an example so we can compare the sound of your NL2X with ours?

Just create a midi file with a sysex patch dump, and some midi data (notes, knob movements, etc). Then record an mp3 file and post it along the midi file. Then we can record our NL2X with your midi file and post the result to compare it with your mp3.

I would suggest to record as a *.wav file. If it's not to long, it can be posted here, otherwise send it to me, because I don't suffer the attachment limitations.
