Nord Lead 2 Subject description: My NL 2 is acting up! |
 |
|
Hi everybody,
My Nord Lead 2 is acting up lately. When I´m playing any patch, the sound start changing its filter suddenly without me touching anything. Is there a way I can reinstall the Operating System?I tried to contact Clavia, but they never answered me back.It looks like they aren´t giving any support to discontinued stuff.I really like my NL 2,it´s my favorite synth.I would appreciate it very much if someone could help me with this.
Thank you,
Fiuza |

Did you try & hit the panic button ? Hold down Shift + Distortion & some of the parameters will be reset. _________________ It is at least ten times more difficult to get a good synthesizer sound than on an acoustic instrument. - Giorgio Moroder |

Fiuza, all be it with a sad post...
Once I had almost the same problem, but it appeared to be caused by the random setting of LFO1, but it happened only with one sound/Program. If any Program has the same problem, it surely means there is something wrong...
If it only shows up at the Filter parameter, it could be the pot is bad. I would bring it to a repair shop to replace it...

Wout!
I tried the panic button and I even tried holding shift and mod env fm osc2 together. The second seemed to work for a bit then the problem persisted.
Anyway,sorry for my english....but what´s the ''pot''?
Sometimes the LFO 1 is acting up too.It slows down suddenly when I use the modulation.Anyway, isn´t it possible to reinstall the OS?
Best,

Most likely, when it happens to other parts of the synth, it is your power supply, which doesn't give the right voltage. It could be also instability of the 230/115 Volt of the electricity network, which is doubtful, because it works a long time alright. I think you better take the synth to your repair man. |
