Hello,
Metunar, a friend of mine has finished his Video from the Happy Knobbing Modularmmeting which was held in March in Germany.
The tracks are mostly in sync with the Pictured modularsystems. The credits are chronolic to this btw.
The soundquality is very good and it was recorded with a little Recorder ( Boss i think )
Great Pics !
Great Grooves !
Great Video !
go for it

i was not there, but now it is as i was ( a little bit )
if you can't play it, i recommend to install VLC.
This is freeware and one of the best Players around

Great video! That was a lot of work.
At last- someone takes a direct feed of audio instead of room noise on a crappy video camera mic. What a concept! Someone go tell all the Youtube posters that this is possible
Very Cool, thanks Funky40. _________________ doctorvague's youtube channel |

I didn't in the end as I was too worried about shipping, customs and VAT etc. But I did appreciate the advice, ta!
I've gone for a Doepfer system... Should be arriving this Friday... _________________ My music: here! |

Ahh! Cool!
BTW, taxes and stuff.. no probs.. the transporter Arrick is using handled everything. I simply got a bill after the delivery. No hassle at all. The stuff was of course insured and the packaging was a tad over the top. Brilliant!
I still buy more secondhand dotcom modules though. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

You´ve seen the one of the 42 unit cab already? I posted an iPhone pix of it somewhere?
I have something like a trillion DIY modules on the backburner as well and I´m already seriously running out of space. Even though I am buying and building more modules, it is highly likely that a lot of that might go into storage. The Klee stuff might be fitted into a dotcom cab though and I think I´ll have to get more envelopes and VCAs and slot most of these into a separate cab. The main problem with envelopes and VCAs is that you can never have too many of them.
But I could move a wall.. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

We need pix!
Did you order ten crates of modules and whatever felt right... or did you go for a "system in a box" - pre-configured? _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

I used the base systems on the Doepfer site as a guide and then added other bits and bobs I liked the look of.
I've gone for the cheap, wooden cases as I really won't be gigging with these, just making very long synth-prog SF CATHEDRALS OF SAAAHND!
And don't worry, there'll be plenty of synthpr0n once it arrives. Oh, I'm soooo impatient! _________________ My music: here! |

I might end up with a monster eventually, but that is not quite I had in mind. Main point is to have enough modules and stuff that makes it easy to patch the kind of stuff that is near impossible on the NM-1.. and frankly.. often I find it much faster to patch certain stuff on an analog modular than playing around with the mouse in the NM editor. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

I would be very interested on how this goes for you, I have been contemplating one of those Doepfer base systems with some extra bits and bobs as well.
Could you keep us updated with your thoughts in another thread maybe?
Cheers

Yep, no problem, Andy! I'll start one in a bit.
elektro80: Yep, this is why I'm taking the jump. I have patch ideas in my head that are frustrated even by easy, knobby synths like my Voyager. I don't want to be delving into mod assignment menus, I want to be able to instantly patch.

There's now this topic:
