CuBase is a Midi sequencer on the computer, so you'll need a Midi connection instead of USB

Computers running Microsoft Windows operating F systems need a driver for the USB connection to function. The driver can be found on the enclosed CD, or on the Clavia website.
USB is only used for the connection Synth <> Editor on the computer. There are some troubles with that particular Windows system. Still, CuBase is using Midi!!!

If you want to use CuBase to record the sound you'll have to use normal audio cables to your sound card. There is no audio in the USB signal.
