Synth Exception Error - Very Frustrating, Please help me...

Hello!

I've been getting the following error message every time i load up the editor on my pismo (os 9.2.2):

"Synth exception.
Down link check sum error..
Open the MIDI dialog and enable the port again"

I do this and the same occurs. It basically unusable at the moment. I firstly thought the MIDI cables wrong damaged, changed them and got the same results. I thought the Nord was the problem but it works absolutely perfectly with my G4 tower (same os), as well as working fine with my g4 powerbook. So, i'm thinking the problem is the pismo itself, or maybe the way it communicates with the midi interface (midisport 2x2). So I was wondering if there has been anybody with similar problems with pismos in the past, as i thought they'd be ideal! i'm gonna check another interface but i fear the worst!
