This isn't really experimental as such, more proof of concept.

It occured to me whilst messing with chorus units in the VA area that why not just use this area to get a thick chorus effect from just one chorus unit. The basis for the chorus unit I stole from Dave P, I think.

I have added a compressor and Rob's tilt filter for extra effect in the FX area and a basic Mono synth to drive it from slot A (chorus in Slot B). So basically I have just stolen a load of ideas of other folks.. cheers Smile

You could easily patch the same with all manner of similar poly processors to great effect (need more words to avoid these puns).

Apologies if everyone is already doing this and I'm just Mr Johny Come Lately. Smile

**I appreciate that as the synth is mono it could have been built in the FX area (and could therefore be a .pch instead of .prf) but I wanted to be able to run any synth through the poly effect.**

Hi Ross, sounds great! Have you realized that you can put all the Slot B content in the Slot A, making a one slot patch instead of a two slot performance?

Cheers fellas.

Albert,

Yeah I realised, that see my **comment**above. Smile But my thinking was as a performance anyone can use any synth they like with it, e.g. one of their own, be it a mono or a poly synth. Wink

Tried to do a similar thing with the standard Phaser + Flanger modules but I seem to remember it didn't work.. perhaps the incorporated controlling LFOs in these modules are mono... though I could be wrong?

So perhaps patching your own custom flanger/phaser using the filter modules and poly lfos would be the answer.. Another thought I have had is to make a poly BP filter, with a filter detune controlled by say voice number.. this would allow you to easily construct a sort of spreading filter with out having lots of wiring and several filter modules.

Like I said above I imagine there must be many uses for this kind of processing... i am just having trouble thinking of them all.

Anyone got any other ideas?
