I'd really like to talk about any aspect of working with others.
What kind of pairing(s) can you imagine for you and one other person?
for example: I am really good at generating material, but usually get distracted with other material to pull things into a cohesive composition. So I dream about meeting someone who can reign me in and keep things to one track at a time. |

what do you use to make music?
I use Reason and Pro Tools and I might be able to help. Let me know what you're thinking. |

Right now I'm really big on max/MSP. I also use the G2, play tuba and know my way around logic.
I really posted this topic because every collaborative project I've engaged in has been short lived, many not even bearing creative fruit.
I want to be in a band.
I want to produce tracks for a vocalist i really respect/appreciate.
It'd be cool to have someone impose unique creative limitations on me. |

FWIW, I am having the exact same dreams.

Hey, regarding collaboration, I have some songs that need mastering / redoing / reworking / etc. I made a 45 minute album of songs actually. I was gonna collaborate with someone, but have not heard from him. I'd be interested in working together on them with someone...
I am new to music as my first year anniversary of being a ChucK programmer is arriving soon. I have a guitar but cannot play it, and I create special effects for guitars as well as write ChucK software. I use Audacity too.
Anyone game to work over my songs? _________________ "Let's make noise for peace." - Kijjaz |

let's give it a shot. since you said you're good at generating material do you want to send me the first part and I'll see what I can do with it.
oh and ps, I 'used' Max/MSP as a trial a few months ago. I worked my way through the first dozen or so tutorials - some interesting stuff and I'd love to hear about it from you, especially if you're an experienced user. |

I'm don't know anything about ChucK.
I'd be game for that, though. How would you want to send me the song? |

Mot Juste, hi and welcome to electro-music.com! I will PM you with the location of a *.tgz file that your unzip utility should be able to open. It has all the songs in it, nine of them. Five with lyrics and four instrumentals.
I have most of the music on separate tracks so once you decide that you like a song and want to work on that one, I can zip up the individual files for you to manipulate or replace to your heart's content.
The zip file should have the lyrics in it also as a pdf document.
I should warn you that some of the songs are a bit shocking, one is anti-religon and another is about weapons. Anyway, I'll pm you the location. _________________ "Let's make noise for peace." - Kijjaz |

m/organ, get yourself a hosting solution with www.godaddy.com, it's only $6.99 a month plus $12.99 a year for the domain name. Then you can post large files as well as establish a web presence for yourself. I've been at it for a year and a quarter, and I just got some ad revenue that will mostly pay for the site. whoot! So from now on it's a free deal. _________________ "Let's make noise for peace." - Kijjaz |

By the way, I'm also interested in collaborating on hardware projects if anyone is interested. I'd like to work with someone who has familiarity with the Eagle PCB CAD package. I can do software prototyping, hardware breadboarding, documentation and a little bit of web page design, but I have yet to learn Eagle. I suppose I should put some quality time in with Eagle and get to know it, eh?
But I don't want to be a one-man-show, I'd rather work with someone else because two heads are better than one. Also I am not good at dealing with people, so once designs are made I'd rather work with someone who can stock and sell products to folks. I have this silly idea that some of the designs can be sold as electro-music.com products, I think I'll pm Howard about that and see what he says. _________________ "Let's make noise for peace." - Kijjaz |
