None watsoever.
Might take me a year to pull the money together but I will.
Oh yes I will. In fact, a good friend of mine is also waiting and we might join wallets and buy one as soon as they ship to make sure we at least get one.
The day it will arrive will be grand. |

I've been at the german fair Musikmesse and the LinnDrum II still didn't work. What a pity!
I was looking forward to play a bit around, but they said there was a lot of software still to be written |

so, why don't there be single raw of pads? isn't beautiful: a raw of 16 pads^ with a led per step. what about touchscreen or two/ isn't it nice to fingerdraw en curve/envelope? Last edited by Neon Sega on Tue Dec 29, 2009 2:44 pm; edited 1 time in total |

OK, reading the most recent comment from Linn's site (http://www.rogerlinndesign.com/products/linndrum2/index.shtml), it would seem that whatever BoomChik/LinnDrum II was supposed to be, will never happen.
| Quote: | Update - December 17, 2009:
Not too much to say but I wanted to post an update. As I mentioned below, Dave and I learned along the way that his customers want a different product than mine, and it's too expensive in today's economy to make one product that pleases both. So I'm working on one or more products that, while different from the early LinnDrum II designs shown below, will be powerful, creative and not too expensive. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I can't give any product details or release date estimates, but I (and also Dave, by the way) won't be showing any such product at NAMM. (Roger Linn Design no longer exhibits at trade shows anyway because I don't think they make much sense in the internet era.) Regarding Dave's product plans, I can't speak for him but it wouldn't hurt to visit his site periodically, if for no other reason than he makes some very fine products. When I have any interesting updates, I promise to post them here. |
A pity, but thankfully a door that might have led to some frustration has been closed.
