CGS MOTM Style Distribution Questions Subject description: Please verify where I make connections to my power source and help me find some suitable connectors |

Hey Everyone,
I have a few questions about my CGS MOTM Style Distribution board. I’ve done the usual search through the multiple modular and DIY message boards and the CGS Yahoo archives and couldn’t really find an answer. Here are my questions, I’m sorry if I’m a bit of a noob.
1. My first question is with regards to where I run the cables from my power source to on the distribution board. When I wire the two together am I just going to run the corresponding connections (+15, -15, OV, OV) to the matching connections on the distribution board’s far left connection points? I’m not phrasing this well but essentially I’m wondering where I plug the power supply into the distribution board.
2. The second question is with regards to what the best connectors are for the CGS Distribution board. Ken says to get “0.156" headers” but I can’t find these in the mouser catalog. I’m looking for the four pin connectors. Thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I really don’t want to solder the power chords to the distribution board but I may.
3. I can chain more than one of these distribution boards together to use more modules with my power source, correct?
Thanks everyone. I’m getting really close to firing up my first modules and seeing if I can get this beast to run. I just need to make one more Mouser order..

That sounds about right.

If you don`t make sure there are connectors on at least one end of your cables(I prefer to solder the cables directly to the modules, but not the distro board) you will regret it. Try these:

Yes, but this is not recommended. It is preferable for each distro board to be connected as close to the power supply as possible. _________________ " I went through quite a few trannies til I found one I liked" - Wild Zebra |
