Hello everyone,

I am wondering if anyone knows of a utility/script that can convert G1 2.10 patches to the 3.0 format. There are so many 2.1 patches out there I would like to try out, but unfortunately the Nomad utility only seems to recognize 3.0 patches.

If there is not one, where are the perl gurus when you need them. I bet it could be done with one or two lines of code. Smile

If my memory serves me well there is an agreement in this forum to have never any communication with inhabitants of the planet Vulcan, but I'll make an exception to this rule...

All Patches in the archive
http://nm-archives.electro-music.com/010_NordModular/011_Patches/
are V 3.03. I know, because I converted them all myself Smile

There is a tool made by Blue Hell, long time ago, named PatCon
http://www.iaf.nl/Users/BlueHell/html/software/software-patcon.htm
but I don't know if it will work on all those new computer OS's.

PatCon converts pre 2.10 to 2.10 patches leaving the 2.10 to 3.0x conversion to the Clavia Nord editor. So that's not much use here.

Ahhh okay - so it would seem that it is just the 011 directory (organized by author) that has all conversions to 3.0. The directories that are organized by *category* still contain the old 2.10 patches.

I don't suppose there is a mass zip file of all the 3.0 converted patches available for download? If not, maybe someone can suggest a good way to mass download all the patches at once (in OS X)?

Well, these two achives were build by Kristof Middendorf and Tony Smyth.

What i should do is download the OS X Beta version of the Editor from
http://www.clavia.se/main.asp?tm=oldproducts&clpm=Nord_Modular&clnmm=Downloads
and open groups of files - on Windows I select about 100 of those - drag & drop them all into the Editor and [Save All] command does the trick. Something to do during the dark days around Christmas...
