Hi all,

I just finished making a CGS35, 50 and 52 - all are great fun and super-simple.

What I'm wondering is if it's easy to DIY an input level pot, in general and specifically for the Steiner filter.

From what I know from guitars, I'm inclined to think I just connect the output of the CV-in jack to the middle lug of a pot (10k? 100k?), one lug to ground and the other to where the CV-in jack would have connected to the PCB.

Is it equally simple in synth-diy land, or am I way off?

thanks lots!
Matthew

close...
10k to 100k pot will be fine

the middle lug of the pot is connected to the PCB
one of the outer lugs to ground, the other to the jack.
good example is Ken's DC mixer, the input level/drive section (not the pots in red)

One of my CGS Steiners has pots on all three audio inputs and the CV input - definitely a good way to build it.

Cool. Thanks for that, Andrew.
