I'm planning to build another bunch of Yusynth modules and I have a question about resistors.

I was wondering if would have significant difference between using all 1% metal film resistors or only use them where is indicated. I know that using 1% resistors will increase the price of each module between 10% - 15% but will be something that I can assume if the module will have better reliability.

What do you think?

Pablo

I use 5% 1/4W resistors unless 1% metal film are required when precision and thermal stability are at stake. For circuit where I need good matching but temperature stability is not required I even match 5% resistors within 1% or even 0.1% tolerance.

To answer more directly, yes go for 5% unless 1% is explicitly mentioned.
