I'd love to get a K-Bow too, but will probably be quite satisfied with the StringPort if a way could be found for it to work with a monophonic sound source (with potential polyphonic input - that is, chords). The reason is our band has taken a more acoustic direction.

Then again, Togaman is working on a semi-acoustic version of the GuitarViol. Since I play guitar, viola, cello, a semi-acoustic GuitarViol might end up being a good solution for me. Togaman (Jonathan Wilson) designed this instrument for guitar player who want to take up bowing and use it more seriously than the Jimmy Page style or what Jonsi does with Sigur Ros (who IS a serious musician in general but only bows the bottom string).

This is the Acoustic GuitarViol, which currently uses a contact mic:

This is the electric version, which has EMG magnetic pickups and the BOWD pickup system just for bowing.

The Semi-Acoustic will have some version of the BOWD system. There is a Ghost Hexpander option, which would make it compatible with the StringPort.

He's also done a baritone/cello 5 string for a customer, but still in the 21" scale that is on the other electric models.
