automating NM keys G1 in cubase Subject description: via CC |
 |
|
Hi.
I have some problems automating the knobs on my nord modular g1
its acting very weird!
hi i am trying to get cubase4 to automate my personal choice of knobs in the modular editor ver.3.03
I understand that the way to do this is by right clicking on the knob and then in the drop-down menu/midi controller/other...
and then here it should be possible to tell which CC should be assigned for my specific choice of knob
the thing is just that it doesn't react to it 0_o
has anyone tried this? and does it work? if yes the what am i doing wrong here??
kind regards |

yes, that's the way to do it ... and then you run a MIDI cable from the computer to the synth (not the PC connection, but the other one) and you set sender and receiver to the same channel and things should work ... otherwise ... maybe something in cubase setup? _________________ Jan
also .. could someone please turn down the thermostat a bit.

hey hi
thanks for a great site!!!
i have set it all up just like its supposed to
PC in/out and midi in/out
from what i can see its all like its supposed to be
but its good to know that if its done like that it should run perfect
then i will have to look at cubase and myself maybe a classic error40
i will try it out and return with what i have done wrong
thanks for the quick replies and the warm welcome

Just beware CuBase MidiIn and MidiOut go to the Mordulars MidiOut and MidiIn, NOT to the Modulars PC In and Out. CuBase is seen as a normal Midi controller.
If this is right, check the CuBase MidiFilter. If it is enabled it stops sending CC's and so...

ok i got it now.
the thing is that only the knobs from 1 to 6 works rest of them are broked=(
anyway that was why i got confused
i get around it by using the cc and assign it to my controller..
so everything is good and correct know the only thing is the knobs from 7 to 18 but that is a beef i have to eat IRL
thanks alot for all the replys.
peace boom |
