I wanted to ask if anyone own a Lexicon MPX1 and can explain the modulation. I have looked through the pdf manual and I do not understand if the lfos and egs can be used on any effect. This one thing is holding me back from buying one.

The routing structure, for MIDI, LFOs, EGs, etc, is enormous. Almost any one of those mentioned can be routed to control a parameter of an effect. MIDI CC msgs can be scaled or inverted on their way to the parameter, IIRC.

so I can use the envelope generators for pitch shifting amount? LFOs to control delay time? All while morphing between EQ settings?

Yeah, if you look at Section 4 of the user guide/manual, it describes all the sources that are available, and how to connect them to a destination. The parameters available as destination for each effect are listed in Section 7, where each type of effect is described (the box below the drawing, usually starting with "Mix" is the parameter list).

There's also a software editor available from the Lexicon MPX-1 download page.

Sure. The MPX-1 has been around for quite a number of years, but is still around for a good reason. I think it's the best general purpose effects box on the market!

It does have the same "LexiChip" as the PCM reverbs, but I have heard it does not have the same identical algorithms. That said, it sounds damn good.

It is sitting in a rack unplugged and unloved Sad
