Nord Electro 3 - Midi? Recording on GarageBand MAC? |
 |
|
Hello,
I just bought a Nord Electro 3 and I don't know much about it.
I've got a MacBook and I want to record parts straight from my Nord onto GarageBand, is that possible? If so - what do I need? One of those Midi Converter Cables... or an actual Interface? I'm pretty lost, any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks a lot! |

This post is a few months old with no answers so I assume you've read you're manual by now but just to be sure you understand that midi is just note/controller messages sent to/from the instrument.
You can send midi to GB to have it play a "soft instrument" but you'll need an audio interface to your mac to record the actual "audio" from your Electro. Depending on the model of Mac you own it may contain a line level input but it won't be high quality.
You'll need to invest in a audio/midi interface. Call Sweetwater music. They'll be happy to explain what you need and take your money. |
