I'm having problems with my Nord Lead 2 that started a couple days ago. When I power it on, a few of the lights turn on, but it is otherwise unresponsive.

I reseated the connections under the hood and tested the fuse (which was ok). Anyone encountered a similar problem or have any ideas as to what it could be?

When it crashed, I had another synth running (and I live by the train), so my concern is that maybe there was a dip in power that caused the crash...but I really have no idea. I was hoping that I just blew the fuse, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Just hoping it didn't do any permanent damage.

welcome djreyes00

I’m not optimistic….

I would recommend that, so…

It looks like it isn’t booting right. Is the synth receiving any Midi data while booting? Clavia gear is rather sensitive to incoming Midi…

Are always the same lights coming up ore different ones? If they are changing the synth isn’t booting right. Maybe there is something wrong with the Wheel/PitchStick connection? Although a Lead should boot in the Rack mode then.

I suggest to find a nearby service station, because you can’t find and repair faults on the boards itself.

Thanks for the reply Wout.

No, there's no midi data coming in when I boot it up. And the lights that are lighting up have changed once or twice since I started having the problem. So it's probably a booting problem like you mentioned.

I'll just try to take it in to a tech today. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I could try before taking it in. Thanks again...

Good Luck.

Inform for the costs first, I would suggest.
Sending parts from Europe to the States isn't that easy. Sometimes you have to wait for a larger sending to be made...

Again success.
