Digital Noise and 0.47u Electrolytic

Hi,

It the spec it states a 0.47uF electrolytic capacitor, but that beast is very rare (or did not exist to begin with...)

Is it a typo? Should I use a polyester film or some other substitute?

Any .47uF cap will do there, I used a simple MKT cap

Hi.

I did a Mod on mine that adds 2 CV inputs as well as the POT. This is cool when an initial setting is modulated by other added CVs. There is also an added MIN speed range switch (dual pole changeover toggle switch)
This lets the lowest speed go down to a series of slow gates, and with value at 680nF, the ranges overlap slightly at their extremes.

The top section can be easily made with a CGS04, wired straight in to the CV input. Mine was wired on a small piece of perfboard, and I think I used a 47K LIN pot. (compare the diagram with the original - it's a pretty simple mod, but adds greatly to the fun IMO )

I just built this, adding the mod above...

I found out that there is an error on the above schematic, in the second half of the op-amp pins 5 and 6 are the wrong way round...

Got mine to fit behind a homebrew 6HP eurorack panel with 1 pot, toggle switch below, and eight 3.5mm jacks below that.
