Hi all,

I have a nord rack 2 and
I was wondering if it was possible (with special funciton knob on the rack)
to control the individual volume output of slot A B C D?

Also, question about volume that I had was:

If Headphones is a combo of all slot;
why does it sound thin and different when I send it to my sound card than when using it with headphones plugged directly in the headphones output.

The sound I get from my hearphones directly in the headphones output on the rack is beautifull and massive. Yes I do know Hearphone boost the bass, but I'm using the same earphones for the sound card.

My sound card is a RME. There is no eq in between.

But I don't get the same outpout?

Neither do I with a Stereo Y splitter adapter from slot A B combined
----

I also tried with the built in audio on my mac (to try a different sound card) but the sound was also thin ;-(!

Thanks a lot for any help on answering theses 2 output questions

phil

You can find the Lead2 Manual ar http://nm-archives.electro-music.com/020_NordLead2/Red_Lady/Index_bestanden/Red_Lady/The_First_meeting_with_the_red_lady.htm The link is in the word NordLead2

On the Panel at the right is a knob called 'Gain'. It sets the individual Slot volume.
If you want to control more than on Slot use the Morph function.

The sound card is connected with the physical A - D outputs?
Maybe the Out mode is set to A-B only?
To change to Out mode use Shift+SlotB. The settings are on the pPanel on the right.

thanks a lot wout.

How obvious is too obvious.Laughing

For the sound card thing . I've tried all combos :

- a b
-a
-b
- headphones.

Still don't know.

A friend of mine tells me it's become headphones have bass booster in them in general and should never be usedas reference.

Thanks again

Using [Shift+2xSlotB] the LCD should read [-.cd], which means Slot C and D will use Output A and B. I believe you don't hear these two Slots... The headphones always do!

so basically your saying I should have 4 ABCD outs into my sound card and that way it should sound the same as with head phones .

That's a possibility too, but the setting [-c.d] directs these two Slots to physical Outs A and B, together with Slot A and B, the same as you hear it on the headphones. Setting [4.cd] directs Slot C to only Output C and Slot D to Out D.
