15,99€... not bad, not bad.
Next up should be the POLYtron: an analog Polysynth w/ 6 Monotron boards in a Poly800ish housing. _________________ --

Apple will support MIDI natively with iOS4.2, so there will be some movement on the market soon regarding I/O and controllers. _________________ --

I still don't have an iPad, but to be honest this iMS-20 thing is kinda leaving me feeling a little cold.
It's Jasuto Studio that I'm really waiting for. _________________ ACHTUNG!

It's as if Korg ported the DS-10 Plus app from Nintendo DS to iPad.
I'm guessing the virtual Korg M1 is next, because that was just released for Nintendo DS. Not that I have any particular interest in that. _________________ Current and recent work on Soundcloud

Well, I got the IMS-20 ASAP. Kinda cute. The Kaoss pad opens for some great interaction. The whole app is pretty well executed. The major problem with porting such an instrument ( or instruments actually ) is the lack of proper interface for playing the knobs as you play. In a way the iMS-20 is far better than the originals apart from the fact that you obviously can´t play them in a sensible way. Still, the app is cheap and nice and I recommend it 100%. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

The Nintendo DS version lets you use the directional pad and buttons as controllers, in addition to its touchscreen. The tradeoff is the smaller touchscreen, though you do have the secondary screen which is not touch-responsive.
I suppose an iPad is in my future. _________________ Current and recent work on Soundcloud

It looks and sounds very good.
I see they have added a couple of switches to the mod gen for key and tempo sync. I wonder if they might address a couple of the originals other short comings, like no oscillator sync or PWM, in a future version. |
