Hello !

So is this really happening ? cause I would be seriously and most definetely
very interested. Hope you don't mind me intruding like this, while I just registered on this forum, but this just sounds really, really good.
If it's an option, I would be in for 10 pieces.

cheers,

Rudi

I'd take 5 to 10 depending on final price. There's a circuit in ElectroNotes I would like to build.

I'm still trying to find a RELIABLE source for some chips. I'm on my third broker, and this one swears he really does have the chips in stock. We'll see. Confused

Just checking back to see if Tim had any luck with getting a batch of these chips. I'd be in for 15 at least, maybe 20 to 25.

If you can really make the $2.50 apiece price, I'd definitely do 10. Seems like every project I get interested in is using out of production chips...

Unfortunately, I was never able to get a large purchase of these parts. I had a couple of quotes, but when it came time to actually pay for the chips, both sources said something to the effect of "Okay, we'll start looking. It may take up to 6 months and the price will probably go up." I kind of thought the purpose of gettting a quote was to verify pricing and availability BEFORE a purchase, but apparently I was wrong on that one. Wink

In any case, I did find a tube of twenty-five 566 chips, and I'm selling those for $7 each through Magic Smoke. I also have 2206 chips for $6.50 each. Even though the 2206 is out of production I think it is still available through Futurlec and Jameco.

Hit me up at magsmoke@gmail.com if you want more info.
