Mono -> Stereo

Hi everybody,

I remember that I read a long time ago about the technique to turn a mono signal into a "sort of" stereo. I found a patch here http://electro-music.com/forum/viewtopic.php?highlight=stereo&t=38523 but that has far too many effects. I think what I'm refering to is much more in line with the "wide stereo" effect sometimes found on cheap boom boxes. Any pointers?

Thanks. What I saw from SoundLab II is absolutely stunning and a joy to look at!!

Is this the "purest" way to do it? I guess the LFO adds modulation as opposed to keeping the signal the same?

No, this is not the purest way. It is phase shift actually. With a lfo it will become a phaser. But when you give it just a minimum effect it will be nice.

+1 on the delay module for making stereo, with or without LFO. It was one of the first tricks I learned on the old micro modular, and I still use it all the time!

A very few simple solutions of 15. Others in SL II are very sophisticated. Even with the azimuth factor:)

Here's a nice trick that pans the odd and even harmonics of an oscillator left and right in the stereo field. Resonant filter sweep added for demonstration
