What's All This Then Subject description: Stuff that didn't go onto an album |

My serial numbering system for compositions started at number 1 and passed 200 last year. Some years were prolific, others very dry (I went for 5 or 6 years at one point with nothing new). Fortunately for the world, a lot of my compositions are not on surviving recordings.
There are some which are a interesting but never really fit onto an album. Here are a few as they all have interesting stories behind them. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Bill Thompson is a soundscape artist who is originally from the US but has spent a lot of time doing his doctorate in Aberdeen, Scotland. One of his most memorable recordings is of wind blowing on scaffolding (the recording is called McAlpine) and when he put it out of the SoundAsArt list (I still subscribe) I started thinking about doing something like that in Max/MSP.
Ultimately I did two different approaches. Here they are.

Thanks Jan! I've been working on another but haven't actually got a successful recording yet. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.
