Novation Remote 25SL with G2 Engine? Subject description: Has anyone used Novation's Remote 25SL to control the engine |

I'm wondering if anyone has had any success with using Novation's Remote 25SL (not to be confused with the compact version with features drum pads) to control a Nord Modular G2 Engine?
The LCD strip with titles for each parameter is pretty attractive, as is the mix of knobs, buttons, and sliders along with the 2 octave keyboard, X/Y pad and joystick. It's not quite the integration that the full G2 keyboard has obviously, but has anyone tried it? Is there access to enough parameters to make it worth it?
The SL Mk3 looks great too but feels like it would be overkill and doesn't seem to have as many knobs as earlier versions. _________________ Studio:

Hi hyperstationjr,
Many years ago i owned a G2X. I sold and replace it with a G2 engine + a Remote61 SL. The combo was good. The edition is easy to program, and is not limited like many of these competitors. Novation has always been good in this area. But that's nothing compared to workflow and fun in real time with the G2 keyboard. On Novation the screen is indeed well made and very useful. But it is not possible for example to navigate in the modules of a patch as it is the case with the G2. I tried other combo (ex:BCF2000, BCR2000). But finally I came back to the G2 keyboard. There is nothing more enjoyable!
I'm still using a Novation keyboard with my G2. It's useful to send small sysex messages and 14 bits messages.
I guess the question has a lot to do with how you use your G2. |
