Any way to copy/paste values between variations ? |
 |
|
Here is something that happens to me frequently :
I have a patch, with some variations.
Then I decide to work on it and add a few modules.
How to copy/paste the state of these modules between variations ? |

maybe ...
Select all modules, then hit ctrl+c, then change to the other variation (and maybe reselect all modules, not sure there) and hit ctrl+e to paste the values.
I think that might work
or cmd+c / +e on a mac or what was it again ...
anyway ctrl+e is very handy! _________________ Jan

But .. there is another way too .. erm .. or the only way .. not sure ... I dont have the G2 editor handy ... but you can hmm . let me get the thing handy instead ... damn . .it wont connect to synth and dont want to reboot PC.
okay ... no need for an actuall synth connection .. erm .. right click on the variaton you want to copy ... copy focussed to .. directly the destination variation .. or copy to 'variation init' and then go to the destination variation and click on the 'init' button to set it to the 'init variation'

Sooo .. 'variation init' can be used as a temporary store too .. in case you get lost there is something to revert to ... sort of a 9th variation that can't be directly audible. _________________ Jan

Damn !
I just realized that if hit right-click on a module, and select "copy", you can then right-click and select "paste params" (ctrl+e)!
This is insanely cool and I don't know how I missed that.
Thanks |
