Just stumbled across this.

Anyone build one yet?

http://midimuso.co.uk/forums.html/cv-12/

For roughly $35 USD shipped for a powerful midi to cv. Ain't to shabby. Next paycheck I'll order and report back.

Yepp, I built it. It worked wonders until I connected the power cables in the wrong side and fried the chips. Magic smoke everywhere.

So I have ordered another round of chips. Totally deserves it. Also, the built is easy peasy and quick. Its super recomendable.

If Robert do another revision it will be nice to add protection diodes, thought!!

Ordered!!! So excited.

I never programmed midi before so it is going to be fun to programming this thing to 6 note poly for my synth Twisted Evil Have to build more vco's to feed this thing too!

The midi files are listed/noted but I may need help on program suggestions to send the files over.

Looking forward to making a case for this puppy, I'll post the build when completed.

Cool!. Post whatever you do and find.

I didnĀ“t need to program nothing, just put a midi cable in the module, connect the CV/gate to an osc/VCA and play the keyboard.

I guess the programming is for more complex duties...

Currently I have it in a eurorack panel. You just need to connect to the power line (doublechecking the polarity, no prtection diodes!) and attach to a custom panel... Enjoy and share!

I bought one pre-built and had great hopes, it could even support polyphony, but unfortunately it didn't cut it with tuning. I checked the CV voltages and they just weren't precise enough. The human ear is a very precise detector, tolerates about 6 cents error (which, as I remember, is about 5mv in the middle octaves), anything more sounds out of tune.

Also it had a problem with gating. Kudos for the manufacturer, he even sent me another PIC when I reported this, but no help. This was more probably a problem with the optocoupler, but I didn't pursue it further.
