I was thinking of building a pair of stripped down triangle core VCO's and was wondering what the consensus is on sharing components? Specifically, I'm most worried about each oscillator having half of the same LM13700 in its core.

Is this a major no-no? I don't have the capacity to breadboard both oscillators at once, so I have no real way to test it without committing to build it.

There is a crosstalk of typ. 100dB, so yes, you could get into trouble by sharing this between two circuits.
Especially with oscillators they tend to influence eachother.

Thanks Grumble. I'll use separate chips for each, then, and only use one half of each chip.
